Overview & Brief History

The District Hospital Yingkiong was established in 1958 as Health Unit Yingkiong which was upgraded to Community Health Centre Yingkiong in 1989. The Community Health Centre Yingkiong was again upgraded to District Hospital Yingkiong in 1996 which was further upgraded to District Hospital with 50 bedded facilities on 12th August 2013. The District Hospital Yingkiong is the secondary healthcare centre of Upper Siang District located on the left bank of the Siang River at latitude 28.6419° N; longitude 95.0245° E and an altitude of 377 metres above sea level.
